The title covers almost all the adjectives to describe the comforter I absolutely adore! Don't you just love a beautiful romantic comforter? I've had my eye on the one just below sold through Soft Surroundings. It is made of soft bamboo fabric, comes in the exact color I need, and just looks oh so comfy. (Check out the silk balloon bed skirt too...swoon totally)
I was willing to settle for this one from target when it was on sale for $99 even though it was way to dark a gray for my room. I still think it's gorgeous! Look at those fabric covered buttons, aren't they kick butt? Of course it sold out in 2 days. That is just my luck. Actually that's what I get for being hella cheap!
Didn't think the price point could get any lower? Well here ya go. Walmart has their own colorful version too. Starting at $49 these comforter sets are definitely within my price range (yes my cheapness is showing again). Now if only it had come in pink! I do absolutely love that dark blue though.
My mom bought the red one off of ebay for like $32!!
1. Does anyone know where I can go and browse other comforter sets like this?
2. How about a DIY tutorial where I could make one myself?
3. Do you love or hate this look and why?
Fill me in on your views! I need all the insight I can get. I am about squared away with my little girl's room, so guess what? I'm on to mine! Woohoo right?! HECK YEA.

Those are pretty and I love the color of the first one...so beautiful!
As far as where to browse other comforters, if you do a Google search for tufted or tuck pleated comforters you'll probably come up with lots of great places to look. My go to source for everything cheap...www.shopstyle.com You can click on home and then bedding, then look down on the bottom left of the page and you can search by price, discount, or manufacturer. Sometimes you can find really expensive bedding and everything else, that is deeply discounted. I love that site!
I wouldn't dream of making something that intricate so if you do, please let me know I'd love to see it!
I like the look, but it's more dressy than my bedroom is, so I have a simple chenille bedspread at the moment. But in the right room with the right accessories I bet it would be gorgeous!
Kat :)
Everyone is so into this pintucked comforter! I know they have them at West Elm, but the price probably isn't much cheaper (probably closer to $120 or so). I like the ones without the band at the bottom. Try looking for the West Elm one on ebay.
I love smocking! Wendy from the shabby nest just did some smocking stuff...
1. Pottery Barn?

But I like these styles too:

3. They look soft and pretty. I'm not into the ones with the shiny fabric (shiny fabrics in general).
I love the look on the first view, where the bed is unmade! On the others, where the bed is made, it doesn't do as much for me... I also think the colour scheme and other choices would be key. I'm just in love, love, love with that bed skirt, the pillows and headboard on the first one... aaaahhh.
I wish I had some great advice for you. All of the comforters you've shown are so pretty, but the original looks so fluffy and inviting that I don't know if I could settle for one of the others. LOL! Seriously, would you ever want to get out of bed if you had the first comforter?
yes Ma'am walmart is getting chic however some of the quality is not good. now the one at Tar~get is nice...I want the white one so Swoon! I can't find it in a Queen size. Ummm thinking about just getting one from Overstock! the only thing left WEST EL<M...and it does not meet the budget......
hi! thanks for your awesome comments on my blog! i'm happy to follow you as well.
i got one of these comforters for my bedroom at tj maxx. the comforter and two shams was $39.99. i got it about 3 months ago, but have no idea who it is made by. keep an eye out at your local tj and maybe you can spot one. i LOVE ours. it's a light blue/grey and it's feminine without being too girlie.
good luck!! and glad to "meet" ya!
